Project Luna

Proyecto Luna is a proposal in which elementary school students participate together with students of any level of conservatories and music schools. Each school year an unpublished musical story is prepared and composed specifically for this project. The commissions are made to Andalusian composers and librettists preferably.

In this way, students from primary schools form the choir and students from conservatories and music schools form the orchestra.

During the school year, the participating schools prepare the cantata in their classrooms, as a single or complementary pedagogical content, and quarterly joint rehearsals are held. At the end of the course, the work is premiered in a great concert at the Teatro de la Maestranza full of light, creativity and hundreds of young people of all ages living and making music together.
