Looking for things to do in Seville this week? From 10 to 16 August 2026, the city and the province offer a particularly interesting agenda: jazz concerts, theatre, flamenco, exhibitions, music nights in historic spaces and one of the most anticipated astronomical events of recent years.
1. The 12 August solar eclipse: the highlight of the week
On Wednesday 12 August 2026 the first total solar eclipse visible from the Iberian Peninsula in over a century will take place. The path of totality will cross Spain from west to east, although from Seville it will be seen as a very intense partial eclipse.
It will be one of those events worth marking in your calendar.
As it happens at sunset, from Seville it will be especially important to find a spot with a clear western horizon.
And remember: to look directly at the Sun you must use specific solar observation protection, such as glasses that meet the ISO 12312-2 standard.

2. Jazz at the CAAC: 7xMEDIO
On Tuesday we can swap the city's noise for a night of jazz among the gardens of La Cartuja.
The Jazz at the CAAC series welcomes 7xMEDIO on 11 August, a proposal that combines jazz, flamenco and contemporary sounds. The concert starts at 22:00 at the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo.
A particularly recommended plan for those looking for live music in a different setting.

3. Theatre: “Pijama para seis” at Cajasol
On Thursday 13 August, the courtyard of the Fundación Cajasol becomes a theatre to host “Pijama para seis”.
This is a farce starring, among others, Gabino Diego and Jesús Cisneros, as part of the Fundación Cajasol's Noches de Verano series. The performance is scheduled for 21:00.
A good plan for a summer night in the heart of the city without always resorting to the usual terrace.

Yes, this is one of the summer classics, but this week the programme deserves a spot in your plans.
The Nights in the Gardens of the Real Alcázar continue with evening concerts in one of Seville's most special settings. Access to the gardens begins at 21:00 and the concerts take place at 22:30.
Performances scheduled this week include:
Tuesday 11: María José Pérez – El duende del atardecer. Wednesday 12: Alicia Camiña – El jazmín de mi patio. Thursday 13: Pájaro Guitar Duo – Las criaturas. Friday 14: Andrés Iwasaki – Bajo la luna, bajo mi techo.

On Friday 14 August the XLVIII Festival Flamenco de la Sierra Sur takes place in Los Corrales, province of Seville.
The event starts at 22:30 in the courtyard of the CEIP San José de Calasanz.
A chance to discover one of those summer festivals in Sevillian villages where flamenco is enjoyed in a different way.

6. Virgen de los Reyes: one of Seville's great days
On 15 August Seville celebrates the feast of the Virgen de los Reyes, patron saint of the city and of the Archdiocese.
Every year, from early morning, the area around the Cathedral becomes the epicentre of one of the most important religious and cultural traditions in Seville's calendar.
Beyond its religious dimension, it is an opportunity to witness a tradition deeply linked to Seville's history and identity.

7. “Per Me Reges Regnant”: a perfect exhibition for this week
And coinciding precisely with the feast of the Virgen de los Reyes, the Fundación Cajasol hosts “Per Me Reges Regnant”.
The exhibition explores the historical, artistic and cultural value of the Virgen de los Reyes and her close relationship with Seville through a range of pieces and content.
It can be visited in the Sala Murillo, Monday to Saturday, from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 18:00 to 21:00, with free admission until capacity is reached.

8. Summer nights at the Palacio de los Marqueses de la Algaba
Another historic space that comes alive when the sun goes down is the Palacio de los Marqueses de la Algaba, next to the Mercado de la Feria.
Its summer programme brings together 27 performances across different disciplines during July and August, with evening sessions between 21:30 and roughly 22:45.
In addition, activities are free with prior booking and have a capacity limited to 220 people.

It's one of those spaces that many Sevillians have right next door and, curiously, have never visited.
9. A cultural getaway to Carmona
If you want to get out of Seville for a few hours, Carmona has another different option this week.
The Carmona Archaeological Complex keeps its special summer programme running until 18 August, with heritage-related activities and one of the most important archaeological sites in the province.
You can make the most of your visit by exploring the Roman necropolis and then staying on for dinner and a stroll through Carmona's historic quarter.

10. Summer cinema outside the centre: Tomares or San Juan de Aznalfarache
We finish with a summer classic, but this time away from Seville's usual circuits.
This week the summer cinema programmes continue in Tomares.
The August screenings take place at 22:00 in the Patio de las Buganvillas at the Town Hall.
