What to do in Seville this week: 5 to 12 October 2026

admin

This week we make a small exception and extend our agenda until Monday 12 October, taking advantage of the long weekend and the celebration of the Spanish National Day.

And it's worth it: Seville fully enters October with architecture, science, literature, humour, magic, crafts and several family plans. Also, Monday 12 will be the last chance to visit one of the most eye-catching family exhibitions of recent months.

If you still don't know what to do in Seville from Monday 5 to Monday 12 October 2026, here is our selection from SevillaLover.

1. Seville celebrates the XXV Architecture Week

📍 Various venues in Seville

📅 From Monday 5 to Saturday 10 October

🎟️ Activities open to the public; routes with prior registration

The week begins coinciding with World Architecture Day and with a particularly interesting programme for those who want to look at Seville with fresh eyes.

The Official College of Architects of Seville and the FIDAS Foundation celebrate the XXV Architecture Week, dedicated this year to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Aníbal González.

Under the title Aníbal González and the transformation of the city, the programme includes an exhibition, five guided routes, lectures, debate panels and urban drawing activities. The routes allow visitors to discover how areas such as Avenida de la Constitución, Cuesta del Rosario and other points of the city changed during the first decades of the 20th century. Colegio de Arquitectos de Sevilla

On Monday 5, moreover, Víctor Pérez Escolano stars at 20:00 in the opening lecture Conversaciones sobre Aníbal at the COAS headquarters. Colegio de Arquitectos de Sevilla

And on Saturday 10, from 10:00, comes “Dibujando a Aníbal”, a day open to Urban Sketchers, watercolourists and drawing enthusiasts to depict different corners of Seville. Colegio de Arquitectos de Sevilla

Through videos and explanations from the participating scientists themselves, we'll discover what it would be like to live, research and work in an environment similar to Mars. Espacial Sevilla

Especially recommended for families with curious children and future astronauts.

The fair remains open until 13 October, so the 12th long weekend is a perfect opportunity to visit before this autumn edition closes.

And as we always say: going in and looking is free. The danger is leaving without buying anything.

📍 CaixaForum Sevilla

📅 Until Monday 12 October

🕙 Public holiday: 10:00 to 20:00 h

Hispanic Day will also be the last chance to visit “Dinosaurios de la Patagonia”, one of the major family exhibitions at CaixaForum Sevilla.

The exhibition shows how palaeontologists work and introduces some of the most important dinosaurs found in Patagonia through fossils and replicas. Its main attraction is an impressive replica of a Patagotitan mayorum around 38 metres long. caixaforum

An October long weekend with plenty to do

This week Seville mixes some ingredients we particularly enjoy: free plans, family activities, literature, science, heritage, humour, flamenco and craftsmanship.

In addition, the national holiday on Monday 12 October turns the weekend into a three-day long weekend for many people, so this time we are not closing our agenda on Sunday. Diario AS

From 5 to 12 October, we have eight days to make the most of Seville.
