WHAT TO DO IN SEVILLE FROM 3 TO 9 AUGUST

admin Updated on 6 August 2026

The event of the year is on Wednesday 12th: Seville will witness a solar eclipse with 94.6% of the Sun hidden at sunset. Here are the times, the best places to watch it and the glasses you need.

Although August arrives determined to test any thermometer, Seville keeps a busy schedule of music, cinema and outdoor cultural experiences. Among this week's highlights you'll find jazz at La Cartuja, concerts in the gardens of the Real Alcázar and a new summer cinema programme.

Here is our selection of things to do in Seville from 3 to 9 August 2026, with dates, times and useful information to plan your week.

Jazz at the CAAC: Piet Verbist Flamenco Jazz Summit

The Jazz at the CAAC series continues this summer in the gardens of the Andalusian Centre for Contemporary Art, one of the most special spaces in La Cartuja for enjoying outdoor music.

On Tuesday 4 August it will be the turn of double bassist Piet Verbist and his project Flamenco Jazz Summit, a proposal that blends the improvisation of jazz with the sounds and nuances of flamenco.

Date: Tuesday 4 August. Time: 22:00. Venue: Andalusian Centre for Contemporary Art, Isla de la Cartuja.

A great opportunity to combine a visit to one of Seville's most interesting cultural spaces with a night of live music.

Concerts in the gardens of the Real Alcázar

The Nights in the Gardens of the Real Alcázar are one of the great cultural classics of the Seville summer. The experience combines live music with an evening stroll through one of the city's most important monumental spaces.

This week there will be concerts from Tuesday to Saturday:

Tuesday 4: Esther Merino

The singer from Extremadura, Esther Merino, will open the weekly programme with a night dedicated to flamenco.

Wednesday 5: Kid Carlos Trío

A proposal of blues and other American roots music in one of Seville's most unique settings.

Thursday 6: Graci Rodríguez and Manuel Soto «Noly»

A flamenco show that brings together singing and guitar inside the historic gardens of the Alcázar.

Friday 7: Dúo Almaclara

An evening of classical music performed by this ensemble linked to the Almaclara project.

Saturday 8: Cristina Bayón and Ramiro Morales

The week of concerts will end with a flamenco proposal featuring singer Cristina Bayón and guitarist Ramiro Morales.

Concerts usually start after entry to the gardens. It is important to arrive with plenty of time, as entry is not permitted once access to the site has closed.

Theatrical night tours of the Real Alcázar

In addition to the concerts in its gardens, the Real Alcázar holds its theatrical night tours during the summer, dedicated in 2026 to Charles V and his wedding to Isabella of Portugal.

During July, August and September these tours also take place on Wednesdays, offering more options to discover the monument from a historical and different perspective.

The experience combines interpretation, heritage and a monumental route, making it especially interesting for those looking for a different night-time plan in the centre of Seville.
