International Museum Day Seville
On 18 May, International Museum Day is celebrated, a special occasion to enjoy a wide cultural offer in Seville. This year, under the motto 'Museums, sustainability and wellbeing', the city fills up with free activities for all audiences. Discover which museums are taking part and which activities you can't miss.
Museums and Free Activities in Seville
Museum of Arts and Popular Customs This museum offers basketry and plasterwork workshops for families. During the basketry workshop, participants will learn about the traditional fibres used in Andalusia and will be able to make their own basket. In the plasterwork workshop, decorations will be made following traditional techniques.

Andalusian Centre for Contemporary Art (CAAC) The CAAC organises guided tours of the exhibition "Territorios. Arte contemporáneo latinoamericano en la Colección Jorge M. Pérez".
- Dates: 16 May at 18:00; 17 May at 11:00 and 12:30
Museum of Fine Arts of Seville This museum presents several activities, including:
- Presentation and exhibition of the donation "Cristo atado a la columna": Botanical tour at 12:00.
- Guided tour "Los tesoros del MBASe": At 12:00, book from half an hour before the start.
- Creative workshop "Conoce y dibuja": At 17:00.
- Lecture "Mirar un cuadro": At 12:00 on Sunday, free entry until capacity is reached.
Free Admission and Archaeological Sites
Although not all museums will have free admission, some offer open days:
Archaeological Museum of Seville
- Open day with guided tours: At the Centro Logístico del Patrimonio Cultural (San José de la Rinconada) from 10:00 to 13:00.
Archaeological Site of Carmona
- Theatrical tour of Jorge Bonsor and Juan Fernández López: 25 May, at 12:00. Prior registration at 600143632.
Archaeological Site of Itálica
- Family workshop "Estrellas de Ptolomeo": Explores the Romans' cosmological view and the making of a solar system. Two sessions on 18 May: at 10:30 and 12:30. Book from 15 May at 11:00 via the ARES platform.
