We Love Flamenco 2025: A Celebration of Flamenco Fashion

admin

The We Love Flamenco runway closed its thirteenth edition with resounding success, confirming its place as one of the key events in flamenco fashion. Held from 10 to 17 January 2025 at the iconic Hotel Alfonso XIII in Seville, the event skilfully blended tradition and innovation in flamenco dress design.

A signature vision The event is created by Laura Sánchez, a well-known model and businesswoman, who, together with GO! Eventos y Comunicación, organises this essential date for designers, artisans and fashion lovers. From the outset, Laura Sánchez has championed an elegant and approachable format that showcases both emerging talent and established figures in the sector.

Flamenco Fashion Trends 2025

This year's edition set a clear direction for the new trends we will see at fairs and romerías:

  1. Colours with personality Although classic tones such as red and black remain leading choices, this year colours such as azulina, earth brown and metallic shades have made a strong entrance.
  2. The return of prints Designers such as José Hidalgo and Pedro Béjar have embraced floral and geometric prints, pairing them with monochrome bases that add elegance and modernity.
  3. Statement volumes Exaggerated ruffles and puffed sleeves stand out as key elements of the 2025 flamenco silhouette, adding drama to the movement of the dress.
  4. Fabrics and craftsmanship Sustainability has also reached flamenco fashion. Many designers have opted for recycled fabrics and artisanal techniques to highlight handmade work.
  5. XXL accessories Oversized shawls, earrings and flowers have been the most visible accessories on the runway, establishing themselves as essentials to complete any flamenco look.

Highlights from the Runway

  • José Hidalgo opened the event with a collection that pays tribute to flamenco tradition, but with innovative cuts that update the classic silhouette.
  • Juan Boleco, after several years away, dazzled with “Vudú”, a collection inspired by the mystical and spiritual, standing out for its intense tones and unique prints.
  • Pedro Béjar closed the event with a proposal full of theatricality and flamenco haute couture, opting for a minimalist yet powerful aesthetic.

Special Initiatives of We Love Flamenco

We Love Flamenco is not only a celebration of fashion, but also a platform for promoting values and supporting important causes. Laura Sánchez and her team lead two notable initiatives:

VIVA by WLF

This exclusive space within the event is designed to give visibility to emerging designers and new labels. At VIVA by WLF, young talent and innovative proposals take centre stage, offering a unique opportunity for new creatives to present themselves to the public and gain recognition in the flamenco fashion industry.

Charity Fashion

The charity shows in support of the Sandra Ibarra Foundation Against Cancer and the Social Work of the Rocío Brotherhoods of Seville, Triana and Huelva reflect the spirit of solidarity that defines this runway.

The Legacy of We Love Flamenco

Under the leadership of Laura Sánchez, We Love Flamenco has been more than a runway; it is a space for dialogue between tradition and modernity. The event has been key in giving visibility to emerging designers and celebrating the richness of Andalusian cultural heritage through fashion.

With impeccable organisation and an enviable artistic level, We Love Flamenco stands as an undisputed benchmark for flamenco fashion and an event that marks the start of the fair and romería season.
