admin Updated on 23 October 2026

Holy Week is already here!

The smell of incense, orange blossom and emotion already fills the streets. If you're from Seville or visiting these days, get ready to experience its most authentic, intense and truly ours week.

PALM SUNDAY EVE

This day marks the start of Seville's brotherhood spirit. Although they are not part of the Official Route, the brotherhoods that process on Viernes de Dolores do so with tremendous devotion from neighbourhoods such as Pino Montano, Bellavista, Heliópolis, Polígono Sur and Triana. Among the most notable are:

  • Brotherhood of Pino Montano

  • Brotherhood of La Misión (Heliópolis)

  • Brotherhood of the Dulce Nombre de Bellavista

  • Brotherhood of the Cristo de la Corona (Historic Centre)

  • Brotherhood of Pasión y Muerte (Triana)

  • Brotherhood of Bendición y Esperanza (Polígono Sur)

A mix of reverence, silence, saetas sung from balconies and a Seville preparing for the most exciting week of the year.

SATURDAY OF THE PASSION

The Saturday of the Passion is a day that marks the start of Holy Week in many Seville neighbourhoods. Although these brotherhoods are not part of the Official Route, their station of penance is a much-anticipated moment for local residents, who experience with fervour and devotion the passing of their images through the streets of their parish. This day is characterised by the close bond between the brotherhoods and their neighbourhoods, reflecting the purest essence of Seville's Holy Week.

  • Brotherhood of Torreblanca

  • Brotherhood of the Divino Perdón (Parque Alcosa)

  • Brotherhood of Padre Pío

  • Brotherhood of San José Obrero

  • Brotherhood of La Milagrosa (Ciudad Jardín)

Pure neighbourhood heart. All of Seville stands up to accompany them.

PALM SUNDAY

Palm Sunday opens Seville's Holy Week with a blend of emotion, beauty and faith. The streets of the historic centre and various neighbourhoods are transformed into a sacred stage, where thousands of people accompany the processional pasos, amid the sound of cornets, drums and the scent of incense. It is a day when tradition is in the air and every detail carries deep spiritual and cultural meaning.

On this day, from early morning until well into the night, Seville lives one of the most anticipated moments of the year. Below, we present the most notable brotherhoods processing during this first great day of Holy Week:
