One of the Peninsula's most important Roman funerary complexes: hundreds of rock-cut tombs dating from the 1st century BC to the 2nd century AD, such as the Tomb of Servilia or the Elephant Tomb. Excavated in the late 19th century by archaeologist Jorge Bonsor, today it is an Archaeological Ensemble with a museum.
It is at the entrance to Carmona, about half an hour from Seville, and pairs well with a stroll through the historic centre.
