Things to do in Seville

What to do in Seville this week: 28 September to 4 October 2026

admin

Seville says goodbye to September and welcomes October with a particularly busy week. The XXIV Bienal de Flamenco enters its final days, the Craft Fair renews its stalls, international literary meetings arrive and on Friday we have one of the great cultural events of autumn: the Noche en Blanco de Sevilla.

If you still don't know what to do in Seville from Monday 28 September to Sunday 4 October 2026, here is SevillaLover's selection of some of the most interesting plans for the week.

1. Farruquito opens the week with a world premiere

📍 Teatro de la Maestranza

📅 Monday 28 September

🕗 20:00 h

🎟️ Tickets from approximately €28 depending on seat

The week begins with one of the last major premieres of the XXIV Bienal de Flamenco.

Farruquito presents Serás Farruquito: el musical, a world premiere artistically and musically directed by Juan Manuel Fernández Montoya "Farruquito" himself.

And anyone who wants to continue the night with flamenco has another option:

Manuel Cuevas & Miguel de Tena – "Por Vallejo"

📍 Teatro Alameda

🕥 22:30 h

A good way to enter the final week of a Bienal that began on 9 September and says goodbye this Saturday.

A perfect plan for those who want to start the afternoon among books and music.

And afterwards we can return to flamenco:

David Coria – "Babel. Torre viva"

📍 Teatro Lope de Vega

🕗 20:00 h

🎟️ Tickets from approximately €12 depending on seat

David Coria's company presents the national premiere of this creation, with dramaturgy by Alberto Conejero and artistic direction by Coria himself.

3. New artisans at "Hecho en Sevilla"

📅 From Wednesday 30 September

🕙 10:00–14:30 h and 18:00–21:00 h

🎟️ Free entry

This week we have a good reason to return to the V Feria de Artesanía Creativa "Hecho en Sevilla".

The first group of artisans stays until Monday 28. On Tuesday 29 the fair closes to change exhibitors and on Wednesday 30 a second round begins, which will run until 13 October.

Ceramics, jewellery, leather, textiles, bookbinding, engraving, wood and other Sevillian craft disciplines occupy the stalls located next to the Cathedral and the Archivo de Indias.

So even if you've already visited the fair during September, from Wednesday you'll find new makers and new pieces.

6. Friday 2: Seville celebrates its Noche en Blanco

📍 Dozens of venues across Seville

📅 Friday 2 October

🌙 From the afternoon until well into the early hours

This Friday deserves its own section.

The Noche en Blanco de Sevilla 2026, organised by sevillasemueve, brings together heritage, theatre, music, exhibitions, photography, science, workshops and cultural routes across different neighbourhoods of the city and, for the first time, also the metropolitan area.

The programme is huge, so here are some of our suggestions:

Theatrical visit to the IAPH

📍 Monasterio de la Cartuja

🕣 Sessions between 8:30 and 10:30 p.m.

🎟️ Free

A different visit through the workshops and spaces of the Instituto Andaluz del Patrimonio Histórico, accompanied by characters linked to different periods in the history of La Cartuja. There are nine sessions and the groups are small.

1904: beer in Seville

📍 Torre Cruzcampo – Avenida de Andalucía, 1

🕢 Shifts from 7:30 to 11:15 p.m.

🎟️ Free with reservation

An activity that combines history, industrial heritage and a guided tasting. The Fundación Cruzcampo exceptionally opens the Torre Cruzcampo to tell how beer production began in Seville in the early twentieth century.

Swing at the Plaza de la Encarnación

📍 Plaza de la Encarnación

🕗 8:00–10:00 p.m.

🎟️ Free

Sevilla Swing Dance once again fills the area around the Setas with music and dancing. A plan that is especially easy to add to a route through the centre because it requires no reservation.

Exhibitions at the Casa de la Provincia

📍 Plaza del Triunfo, 4

🕗 8:00 p.m.–1:00 a.m.

🎟️ Free

The Casa de la Provincia extends its opening hours until one in the morning so you can visit its exhibitions in the middle of the Noche en Blanco.

Islamic Seville

📍 Departure from Plaza del Salvador

🕗 8:00–9:30 p.m.

🎟️ 8,50 €

A route through the legacy of Isbiliya, tracing the mark left by Muslim Seville in today's historic centre. For the Noche en Blanco it offers a special 30% discount.

Legends of the Alameda

📍 Alameda de Hércules

🕤 9:30 pm

🎟️ 8,50 €

Stories of characters, the Inquisition, theatres, festivities and events tied to one of Seville's most storied spaces. There is also a special 30% discount that night.

Noche Inglesa

📍 Cementerio Inglés de Sevilla – Calle Marruecos, 31A

🕣 Shows at 20:30 and 22:00 h

🎟️ 5 € – booking required

One of the most unusual proposals of the night: theatre in the English Cemetery of Seville.

From Story to Rhythm

📍 Pasaje Mallol, 10 AC

🕘 21:00–01:00 h

🎟️ Free

Oral storytelling with Esther Yamuza and live music by Papá Gaio, blending spoken word, Balkan sounds, Latin American rhythms and world music.

And this is only a small part of the programme.

At SevillaLover we have also prepared a dedicated guide to the Noche en Blanco, because trying to fit everything happening on Friday into a single section would almost be a Noche en Blanco in itself.

7. Carmen Linares closes the XXIV Bienal de Flamenco

📍 Teatro de la Maestranza

📅 Saturday 3 October

🕗 20:00 h

🎟️ Tickets: approximately 28–55 € depending on seating

After almost a month of programming, the farewell arrives.

Carmen Linares presents Perlas a millares, marking the 30th anniversary of Antología de la Mujer en el Cante.

She will be joined by Marina Heredia, María Terremoto, Rafaela Carrasco and Rocío Luna in a unique night that puts the final touch on this edition of the Bienal.

8. Carambola: books, games and creativity for the whole family

📍 CICUS – Calle Madre de Dios, 1

📅 Saturday 3 October

🕛 Saturday: 11:00–14:00 h and 17:00–19:00 h

🎟️ Free until capacity is reached

If you are looking for things to do in Seville with kids this weekend, note this name: Carambola.

CICUS is hosting the second edition of this Children's Festival of Books, Games and Creativity, with workshops, shows, reading areas, games and activities related to children's literature.

This year's theme is “Things that are not things”, and the programme explores how everyday objects can become the start of a story. General admission is free, although certain workshops require prior registration.

A week to say goodbye to September in style

This time Friday 2 October is clearly the main event.

The Noche en Blanco turns Seville into a huge cultural stage, but the week offers much more: the latest Bienal premieres, new artisans next to the Cathedral, literature, free plans and a family festival to close the Sunday.

In addition, on Saturday Carmen Linares will put the final full stop on the XXIV Bienal de Flamenco, closing almost a month in which the city has once again become one of the great international centres of flamenco.

From 28 September to 4 October, October arrives in Seville without asking for permission.
