Wondering what to do in Seville from 20 to 26 July? This week the city brings together several of the summer's big plans: the Velá de Triana, La Velada del Año VI at the La Cartuja Stadium, Candlelight concerts and open-air cinema at the Patio de la Diputación.
In addition, flamenco takes to the stage every night in Triana. If you still don't know what to do in Seville this weekend, these are the plans you shouldn't miss.
Flamenco show at the Teatro Flamenco Triana
The Teatro Flamenco Triana offers a unique experience to discover the power, emotion and essence of flamenco in one of Seville's most special venues.
For about an hour, some of the best dancers, musicians and singers on the circuit come together on the stage of the only theatre in the city devoted exclusively to this art.
Performances take place Monday to Saturday at 19:30, with an additional show on Saturdays at 21:00. The experience is recommended for children over 4, and the venue is accessible for people with reduced mobility.
There are tickets for adults, children, students under 26 and seniors over 65. Please note that once purchased, tickets cannot be changed, modified or refunded.
Velá de Triana 2026: 21 to 26 July
The Velá de Santa Ana, also known as the Velá de Triana, once again fills the banks of the Guadalquivir with life from 21 to 26 July 2026. It is considered Seville's oldest celebration and returns with a programme designed to make the most of one of the most special weeks of the Triana summer.
During these days, the neighbourhood revives its festive atmosphere with traditional activities such as the cucaña (greasy pole). There will also be pottery markets, cultural gatherings, sports competitions, religious events and concerts in the Plaza del Altozano.
The lights, the little lanterns and the stalls on calle Betis once again dress Triana for a celebration with centuries of history. Its origins are in fact linked to an ancient pilgrimage dedicated to Saint James and Saint Anne, whose roots go back to the 13th century, when Alfonso X ordered a temple dedicated to the saint to be built.
La Velada del Año VI, 25 July at La Cartuja
The La Cartuja Stadium is getting ready to host one of Seville's great summer events. On Saturday 25 July, the Andalusian capital once again becomes a meeting point for thousands of streaming fans with La Velada del Año VI.
Ibai Llanos has already revealed the names of the artists who will perform between the different fights. Even so, the organisers are keeping one of its biggest attractions secret: there will be five surprise performances that won't be revealed until the event itself.
Confirmed artists include Anuel AA, Bad Gyal, who returns to Seville, Yandel, Juanes, La Pantera and Lucho RK.
In addition to the music, the day will feature an intense programme of matches between content creators. These are the participants and the order of the fights:
- First fight: Edu Aguirre vs Gastón Edul
- Second fight: Fabiana Sevilla vs La Parce
- Third fight: Clersss vs Natalia MX
- Fourth fight: Lit Killah vs Kidd Keo
- Fifth fight: Angie Velasco vs Alondrissa
- Sixth fight: Viruzz vs Gero Arias
- Seventh fight: RoRo vs Samy Rivers
- Eighth fight: Marta Díaz vs Tatiana Kaer
- Ninth fight: Plex vs Fernanfloo
- Tenth fight: IlloJuan vs The Grefg
Candlelight concerts by candlelight
Candlelight once again lights up some of the city's most special spaces with its unmistakable atmosphere of candles and live music. From the auditorium of the Seville Aquarium to the Casino de la Exposición, every weekend there is a programme designed to enjoy a different night.
The repertoires range from soundtracks of series and films to classics such as Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, always performed live by musicians. It is therefore an ideal option for those looking for culture, emotion and unique settings. Check the available dates and times before booking, as the sessions change every week.
Summer cinema ‘Asómate al Patio’
The Patio of the Diputación de Sevilla, on Avenida de Menéndez Pelayo, once again becomes one of the great meeting points this summer for open-air cinema lovers. Tickets cost from €5.
Through the Asómate al Patio initiative, hundreds of spectators can enjoy a programme of more than twenty films of different styles. The line-up brings together major releases from the past year, art-house cinema, recent hits and titles recognised at international festivals. This weekend you can see these three:
- Bugonia (Italy) – Director: Yorgos Lanthimos – Friday 24 July, 22:15.
- Rental Family (Japan) – Director: Hikari (Mitsuyo Miyazaki) – Saturday 25 July, 22:15.
- The Voice of Hind Rajab (Tunisia) – Director: Kaouther Ben Hania (Original version with Spanish subtitles) – Sunday 26 July, 22:15.
