Excursion to the White Villages and Ronda from Seville

The route to the White Villages takes us along the old border between the Christian kingdoms of Castile and Granada, crossing the province of Seville and visiting picturesque white villages. From Seville, we will pass through several types of landscape, including the Andalusian countryside with the Aguzaderas castle and an increasingly mountainous environment. Our first stop will be an olive oil mill, where you will learn about the traditional extraction and production of olive oil and taste one of the best extra virgin olive oils of the area. Afterwards, we will visit the white village of Zahara de la Sierra, known for its narrow streets and stunning views.

The excursion continues towards the Sierra de Grazalema, an area of great gastronomic, landscape, geological and botanical interest. Here the Pinsapo fir and the payoya goat stand out; the latter provides the milk for payoyo cheese, a delicacy of Andalusia. Grazalema is where we will stop for lunch, with the guide's recommendations on typical dishes and places to enjoy a complete gastronomic experience. You can also stroll through its narrow, whitewashed streets and admire the mountain views, with the chance to spot ravens and golden eagles.

Finally, we will travel to the city of Ronda, the largest in the region. We will cross the Los Alcornocales Natural Park, where you will learn about the cork oak and the cork industry, and enjoy views of the Ronda mountain range. In Ronda, the guide will provide information about its main monuments, such as the Bullring, the Alameda, the Paseo de los Toreros, the Tajo and the famous Puente Nuevo. You will have free time to explore the city before returning to Seville. The guide will adapt the route according to the time of year, weather conditions and the festive calendar.
