Seville in the middle of August may seem like a challenge because of the high temperatures, but it is also a city that reinvents itself in summer. This second week of August 2025 is packed with cultural plans, family activities and refreshing options for those staying in the city and for tourists who want to experience it at a relaxed pace.
From concerts under the stars at the Real Alcázar to open-air cinema, unique exhibitions and water parks to beat the heat, Seville shows why it is one of the most visited cities in Spain in summer.
If you live here, it is the perfect time to rediscover your city. And if you are visiting, get ready to experience Seville at a different pace.
🎶 Week of concerts and culture in Seville
All week, the Gardens of the Real Alcázar fill with music thanks to the Nights in the Alcázar Gardens series. Among the highlights:
- Friday 8 August: Eternal Trio, with adaptations of Bach, including the Goldberg Variations and the Brandenburg Concertos. A magical night of chamber music amid historic heritage.
- Saturday 9 August: Ana Santisteban, with her project Leyendas y aromas, a journey through classical guitar with works by Rodrigo, Bach and Domeniconi, accompanied by moving stories.
In addition, the theatrical visits to the Alcázar take place all week in the evenings, with sessions from 21:00 to 22:30. This 2025 they bring back “The Imperial Wedding of Charles V and Isabella of Portugal”, a show that blends history and theatre as you walk through illuminated courtyards and halls.
🎬 Cinema and exhibitions for summer days
- Open-air cinema in Parque del Alamillo: This week, Wonka arrives at Kiosko El Naranjal as part of Veranillos del Alamillo. A perfect plan for families under the stars.
