Things to do in Seville

What to do in Seville this week: 31 August to 6 September 2026

admin Updated on 28 August 2026

Seville says goodbye to August and welcomes September with a packed week of music, flamenco, exhibitions and plans to keep enjoying summer nights.

If you still don't know what to do in Seville from Monday 31 August to Sunday 6 September 2026, here is our SevillaLover selection of some of the most interesting plans of the week.

1. Canticuénticos comes to Seville

📍 Teatro Los Remedios

📅 Sunday 6 September 2026

🕕 6:00 pm

🎟️ Tickets from approximately 18 €. (Free for children under 2)

An especially recommended option if you're looking for things to do in Seville with kids this weekend. Canticuénticos offers a show full of music, games, humour and songs that get little ones and grown-ups taking part together.

2. Regina at the Cajasol Summer Nights

📍 Patio of the Fundación Cajasol – Plaza de San Francisco, 1

📅 Wednesday 2 September

🕘 21:00 h

🎟️ Free entry until capacity is reached

The Fundación Cajasol Summer Nights arrive in September with a new musical date in the heart of Seville.

On Wednesday it will be the turn of Regina, who will give a concert in the Patio of the Fundación Cajasol with a journey through some of her best-known songs.

Doors open at 8:30 pm and the concert starts at 9:00 pm. Entry is free until capacity is reached, so our recommendation is to arrive early.

3. Los Saxos del Averno close the Cajasol Summer Nights

📍 Fundación Cajasol – Plaza de San Francisco

📅 Thursday 3 September

🕘 21:00 h

🎟️ Free until capacity is reached

On Thursday comes the closing of Cajasol's summer programme.

Los Saxos del Averno will put the final touch on the cycle with their mix of rhythm & blues, soul and black music, in a night that promises plenty of energy.

A good plan for those who want to start September with live music without leaving the centre of Seville and, moreover, with free entry.

4. Three nights of free flamenco ahead of La Bienal

September is starting to sound like flamenco in Seville, and this first weekend there are several free events organised in different parts of the city.

Thursday 3 – La noche de las gitanas

📍 Parque Pepa La Calzona

🕤 9:30 pm

An evening dedicated to flamenco that opens this small tour through some of Seville's neighbourhoods.

Friday 4 – Cuestión de tiempo. Hermanos Aguilar

📍 Monasterio de San Jerónimo

🕤 9:30 pm

On Friday the programme moves to one of the historic sites less known to many Sevillians: the Monasterio de San Jerónimo.

Saturday 5 – II Festival Macarena Flamenca

📍 Plaza Virgen del Pilar, barriada de La Barzola

🕘 From 9:00 pm

La Macarena once again aims to bring flamenco to the neighbourhoods with a new edition of Macarena Flamenca.

Three opportunities to enjoy flamenco in different spaces and to get a feel for the atmosphere already building in the city ahead of the arrival of the Bienal.

5. David Pino pays tribute to Fosforito

📍 Museo de Artes y Costumbres Populares – Plaza de América

📅 Sunday 6 September

🕤 9:30 pm

On Sunday we have an especially interesting date for lovers of cante.

The singer David Pino will offer a show paying tribute to Fosforito, one of the fundamental figures in the recent history of flamenco.

Moreover, the setting could not be more Sevillian: the Museo de Artes y Costumbres Populares, located in the Plaza de América in the Parque de María Luisa.

A magnificent plan to close the week.

6. Last days to visit “Kupinduka”, by Virginia Chihota

📍 Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo – Monasterio de la Cartuja

📅 Until Sunday 6 September

If you're looking for a different plan and prefer to swap concerts for an exhibition, this week is the last chance to visit “Kupinduka”, by the artist Virginia Chihota, at the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo.

The exhibition remains open until Sunday 6 September, so these days are perfect to visit the CAAC and take the opportunity to explore the former Monasterio de la Cartuja.

🕚 Tuesday to Saturday: 11:00 am to 9:00 pm

🕙 Sundays and public holidays: 10:00 am to 3:30 pm.

7. Last chance to enjoy Guadalpark

📍 Avenida del Deporte, 8 – Sevilla Este

📅 Until Sunday 6 September

🕛 From 12:00 to 7:00 pm

And if September arrives in Seville eager to keep making the most of summer, this week also brings an important farewell.

Guadalpark closes its 2026 season on Sunday 6 September, so it will be the last weekend of the year to enjoy its pools and water attractions.

An especially recommended plan for families or for those not yet ready to accept that summer is coming to an end.

And September has only just begun…

This week works almost as a transition between the last summer plans and the start of one of the most interesting cultural stages of the year in Seville.

And there is a date worth noting in your calendar now: on 9 September the XXIV Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla begins, running until 3 October and once again turning the city into one of the great international hubs of flamenco. Even before the official opening, on 3 September an exhibition linked to the centenary of flamenco opera is planned at La Real Fábrica de Artillería.

So there you have it: concerts among historic gardens, flamenco in the neighbourhoods, exhibitions, free plans and even a final day at a water park.

From 31 August to 6 September, staying at home doesn't seem like the best plan.
