Although January tends to feel quiet, Seville never rests, and this week is no exception. Whether you're passing through, have just landed or are a Sevillian through and through, there are plenty of lovely plans that combine the best of a Sevillian winter: art, tradition, culture and proper flamenco.
Here is our selection for a week full of duende and Andalusian flavour:
1. We Love Flamenco 2026 – Fashion with soul (until Wednesday 21)
We Love Flamenco celebrates its 14th edition at the Hotel Alfonso XIII, and is the most iconic event this week. This catwalk, which brings together the best of flamenco design, is the prelude to SIMOF, blending tradition, avant-garde and a great deal of Andalusian craftsmanship.
This week we enter the home straight:
Monday 19 January
• 18:00 – Chimpumpum
• 19:00 – Errepé
• 20:00 – Children's charity fashion show
• 21:00 – Fundación Sandra Ibarra
Tuesday 20 January
• 18:00 – Notelodigo Infantil
• 19:00 – Cátedra Flamenca fashion show (young designers)
• 20:00 – MCV Flamencas / Lorena Reyes Atelier
• 21:00 – Sueños de Abril
Wednesday 21 January (closing)
• 18:00 – Flamenco a la Mexicana / Lucía Márquez
• 19:00 – MColmenero & Luque
• 20:00 – La Parrala

It's the ideal plan if you love local design, flamenco culture or simply want to see the soul of Seville turned into fashion.

2. Cirque du Soleil – “Kurios” in Seville
From 17 January to 1 March, Cirque du Soleil has set up its magical big top in Seville with Kurios: Cabinet of Curiosities. A breathtaking visual journey that mixes classic circus with technology, humour and impossible acrobatics.
A perfect plan for families, couples or anyone who fancies being dazzled a little.

3. Exhibitions to get lost in
Seville remains a cradle of art, and these weeks you can enjoy some truly special exhibitions:
• “Sorolla at the Alcázar” – The famous Valencian painter and his view of Andalusia, in one of the most beautiful palaces in the world.
• “Fuera de marco” (CaixaForum) – Contemporary art with fresh approaches, ideal for a calmer afternoon.
• “Entre Coria y Grenoble” – At the Espacio Santa Clara, modern art with an Andalusian and French touch.
4. Proper flamenco (beyond the catwalk)
If you prefer flamenco in its purest form, there is also plenty to see this week:
• Teatro Flamenco Sevilla (Alameda) – Daily classes and shows in a beautiful space.
• Tablaos such as Pura Esencia, El Arenal, Las Setas – Each with its own charm, from the intimate to the touristy with art.
And if you can't decide which to choose, write to us and we'll help you find the best tablao for your plans.

5. Theatre, dance and concerts
• Teatro Central – The dance piece “Caramel” this week, a very modern sensory experience.
• La Fundición – “El romancero gitano y otros deseos”, Lorca's poetry on stage (23–25).
• Sala Cero and Sala X – For those looking for more alternative theatre or independent-flavoured concerts.
And if you just want to stroll and go tapas hopping?
Not everything in Seville has to be about agendas, tickets or timetables. Sometimes the best plan is to head out without rushing, let the streets guide you and savour the city with no filters, no hurry, no fixed plans. For that, we also offer some walking and tapas routes that never fail. No booking required, just the desire to enjoy.
• Sunset in Triana with flamenco and flavour
Cross the Puente de Isabel II as evening falls and wander into Triana, that neighbourhood with a soul of its own. Walk along Calle Betis, watch the sun sink behind the Cathedral reflected in the river, and look for that small bar with live cante where the flamenco plays softly but deeply. Nothing more authentic.
• Alameda – Feria – San Luis: the more alternative Seville
This triangle in the centre has a more modern, bohemian air without losing its roots. Start in the Alameda, where designer bars and traditional taverns coexist. Continue to Feria — if it's Thursday, drop by the most traditional market — and finish in San Luis, where the street breathes history, urban art and charming cafés.
• El Arenal: tapas with art after the fashion show
If you've been to a We Love Flamenco show or left the Alcázar, stay on in El Arenal. It's an area of theatre, bullfighting, tablaos and fine tapas. Here you can try everything from sirloin in whisky to a good local wine between columns, convents and cobblestones that smell of history.
• Guadalquivir River cruise, drink in hand
Getting on a boat on the Guadalquivir is another way to see Seville. From the river, the city looks different: calmer, brighter. There are options with dinner, music or a sunset drink. A relaxed but special plan, especially if you're a couple.
• Santa Cruz Quarter: wandering with no destination
And if you don't know where to go… head to the Santa Cruz Quarter. Lose yourself in narrow alleys, hidden little squares, silent orange trees and balconies full of flowers. Every corner feels like a secret and every nook like a painting. Sometimes, nothing more is needed.
These plans don't appear on maps or in guidebooks. They are small everyday luxuries that Seville gives you when you walk it without rushing and live it with all your senses open. Because sometimes, the best plan… is simply going out to feel.
In short…
This week Seville is more alive than ever. From runway fashion shows to running shoes, through culture, music, flamenco and art. If you're from here, go out and enjoy it. If you're visiting, welcome to a city that never stops!
