After the 12 October long weekend, Seville returns to normal… but the cultural agenda has no intention of doing the same.

From Tuesday 13 to Sunday 18 October we have literature, classic cinema, guitar, flamenco, live music, festivals and family-friendly events. Also, this week sees the end of the Antiquarian and Second-Hand Book Fair, while on Saturday one of the big music festivals of this autumn arrives in Seville.

If you still don't know what to do in Seville this week, here is our selection from SevillaLover.

One of the week's major theatre events arrives at the renovated Teatro Lope de Vega with Long Day’s Journey into Night, one of the most acclaimed texts by Eugene O’Neill.

The play takes place over a single summer day and follows the Tyrone family, trapped between recriminations, addictions, illness, frustrations and old wounds that never fully healed. The text has a strong autobiographical component and is considered one of the great family dramas of contemporary theatre.

The adaptation and direction are by Ernesto Caballero, with a cast led by Carlos Hipólito, joined by Mapi Sagaseta, Álex Villazán and Nicolás Lloro. The set design is by Paco Azorín.

An intense and very human proposal for those looking for text-based theatre and one of the great 20th-century classics, in one of Seville's most emblematic venues.
