Things to do in Seville

What to do in Seville from 25 to 31 August

admin

Summer is in its final stretch, but Seville is still overflowing with life, colour and art. If you're here between 25 and 31 August, get ready for a week full of soulful plans: from pure flamenco to football with street atmosphere, through water parks, al fresco dinners and walks that connect you with the best of our land.

Pure flamenco at the Casa de la Memoria

In the heart of the Old Town, the Casa de la Memoria offers a daily cycle of top-level flamenco shows. Dancers, singers and guitarists who breathe tradition and convey the full power of flamenco in an intimate, authentic setting.

This week's programme:

  • Tuesday 26 – Raíces Flamencas: Gloria del Rosario, Manuela Ríos, Iván Orellana.
  • Wednesday 27 – Arte Flamenco: “Choro” Molina, Yaiza Trigo, Naranjito Hijo.
  • Thursday 28 – Duende Flamenco: Milena Tejada, Yolanda Osuna, Álvaro Mora.
  • Friday 29 – Fuerza Flamenca: Isabel Alarcón, Carmen Young, Óscar de los Reyes.
  • Saturday 30 – Raíces Flamencas (repeat): Jeromo Segura, Carmen Young, Jordi Flores.
  • Sunday 31 – Alma Flamenca: Gloria del Rosario, Óscar de los Reyes, Tino.

This is flamenco that moves you, gets under your skin and is never forgotten. You can check and book your ticket on its official website.

Football in Seville: more than sport, a party

The city transforms when its teams play. And this week there's a double helping:

  • Sunday 25 August: Sevilla FC vs Getafe CF – 21:30 h at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.
  • Sunday 31 August: Real Betis vs Athletic Club – 19:00 h at the Benito Villamarín.

These are key matches of matchday 3 of LaLiga 2025/26. The streets fill with shirts, chants and joy. If you've never experienced a football day in Seville… get ready for the buzz.

Cool family plans

The summer heat is intense, but Seville has spots to cool off and have fun:

  • Isla Mágica and its water area Agua Mágica remain open daily until 28 September.
  • Acuario de Sevilla: open Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 19:00, and weekends until 20:00. Ideal for an indoor outing with the little ones, with penguins.
  • Guadalpark: slides, pools and fun for the whole family.
  • Parque del Alamillo: offers open-air cinema, activities for children, neighbourhood bingo and much more in a natural setting, perfect for escaping the heat.

Where to dine or tapas with Sevillian charm

August nights call for sitting on a terrace, without rush, with a drink in hand and good company. Here are some of our favourite spots:

  • Bodega Díaz Salazar – Wines from the Jerez region and Sevillian cured meats. Calle García de Vinuesa, 20.
  • Casa del Estanque – A dreamy terrace next to the María Luisa Park.
  • Kiosco de las Flores – Fried fish in the heart of Triana with river views.
  • Casa Berrinche – Creative cuisine without losing its Andalusian soul, in the Plaza del Altozano.

Make your own route or let yourself be carried away… Seville at night is a sensory experience.

Final recommendations from Sevillalover

  • Avoid the central hours of the day: opt for a stroll at sunset or visit places with shade and a breeze.
  • If you fancy a quick getaway: Carmona, Osuna or Écija are less than an hour away and offer heritage, gastronomy and culture in abundance. Here is a guide to the magic triangle of the countryside.
