Description

Immerse yourself in the history and beauty of Seville with our 2-hour guided tour of the city's most emblematic places. This unique experience will take you to discover the architectural and historical treasures of Seville's monumental zone and the charming Santa Cruz Quarter. Accompanied by an expert guide, you will walk through the city's most significant points, admiring its cultural heritage and learning about its fascinating past.

We will begin the tour at the Seville Cathedral, one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world, where you will be amazed by its imposing façade and, of course, by the majestic Giralda, its bell tower. Although we will not enter inside, your guide will tell you the history of this monumental complex, which is also one of the most representative symbols of the city. From here, we head to the Alcázar of Seville, a royal palace that combines various architectural styles, most notably its splendid Mudéjar architecture. We will visit its surroundings, admiring its gardens and courtyards, which transport us back to the time of the Catholic Monarchs, although we will limit ourselves to enjoying its beauty from the outside.

Next, we approach the Archivo de Indias, a Renaissance building that houses the most important documents related to the colonisation of America. This archive is key to understanding the fundamental role Seville played in the history of the Spanish Empire. From here, we will enter the Jewish Quarter of Seville, a maze of narrow streets full of history, where the Jewish community once lived. This neighbourhood, full of charm and mystery, is one of the city's most picturesque corners, with its whitewashed houses, small squares and hidden nooks.

The route will continue through the Murillo Gardens, a place of peace and serenity where you can relax as you stroll among fountains and lush vegetation, with views of the city walls. From there, we will head to the University of Seville, one of the oldest educational institutions in Spain, dating from 1505. This historic building, with its majestic façade and rich academic tradition, represents one of the city's most important institutions.

Finally, we arrive at the imposing Plaza de España, one of Seville's greatest emblems. This majestic square, built for the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition, is a spectacular example of Andalusian regionalist architecture. We will walk through its wide spaces, admire its benches decorated with tiles representing all the Spanish provinces, and tell you more about its history and meaning.

Our guided tour is available every Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Thursday, lasting 2 hours, starting punctually at 11:00 AM. This is the perfect opportunity to discover the city's main monuments in an ideal amount of time for those with a tight schedule who still want to immerse themselves in Sevillian history and culture.
